Avoxa + Orcus is a dual-component herbicide solution developed for effective weed management in maize (corn) fields. This powerful combination includes Topramezone 3% + Terbuthylazine 37% (OD) in the Avoxa formulation and Halosulfuron 75% (WG) in Orcus. Together, they deliver a complete and extended spectrum of control over both grassy and broadleaf weeds, including difficult-to-control species.
Topramezone acts by inhibiting carotenoid biosynthesis in weeds, leading to whitening and desiccation of weed foliage. Terbuthylazine provides residual soil activity, preventing new weeds from emerging after application. Halosulfuron adds strong systemic action, particularly effective against broadleaf weeds like pigweed, lambsquarters, and nutsedge.
Avoxa + Orcus is designed for post-emergence use, ideally applied when the maize crop is in the early growth stage and weeds are young and actively growing. It provides fast knockdown, long-lasting residual protection, and excellent crop safety under varying field conditions.
